The Year to vote is upon us, again
We are well into the hoopla of a voting year, and have the great priveledge of listening to candidates beat each other up until it seems that nobody is qualified to be our president. The negative advertising is only beginning, and will get further into the mud as time goes along. It may be time to seek alternative parties rather than the two who get all the media attention. It seems as though all of the candidates representing the current parties are all incapable of doing justice for the American people. The amount of money spent on a campaign seems to be directly related to the amount of votes the candidate receives. Is there something questionable about this? The campaign reform is supposed to address this, but when one hears about the amount of money needed for a campaign, one has to wonder why that couldn't be accomplished for other worthwhile ventures, (such as Katrina relief). Maybe people who are very qualified to hold our greatest office are not even considered due to the money issue, and any other party that may back a candidate never gets very far out of the starting gate. I urge all of us to pay very close attention to the candidates this year, don't discount anyone that isn't necessarily in the limelight. Most of all, GET OUT AND VOTE this November. Let your voice be heard! Political parties are the biggest parties in town, and we can all join in the fun. Be aware, Love America with its wonder and pitfalls, and VOTE!
